Been spending

So been to asda today and started stocking a bit. Nothing heavy.

I got some Tupperware to put stuff in, our house is a bit damp and bloody mice get in the kitchen from the fields so things are not too safe out in the open.

I got some rice packs I love them there nice teasty and not too excpencive and when I'm dieting there ok on slimming world. So iv got a few and put them in a tub they should last a year or more. Iv also got some dry beans, and pulses there good to have I like making a stew with them. It's good on slimming world too a couple of tins of beans some tomatoes (tin) and stock as well as a few handfuls of beans and pulses it can be chunky or blitzed up in a soup. With any veg to through it too.

We have also started clearing out the kitchen and at some point I'm going to disinfect the cupboards so I can start having a good supply of tins in there. As it is we have a handful in there and some in boxes and bags through out the room.

I'm shattered though we have been all over today. If we can afford it we go to makro and get a few trays of cans (pop) it's not a nessesety but a treat so hence the clearing of the kitchen to find room.
Whilst going round the supermarket hubby figured out what I was doing. He's cool with it I guess as long as he doesn't have to spend anything lol. We got another bit bag of pasta we eat a lot of the stuff anyway.
So the picture is of a sprout not the type you have at Christmas. The beans and pulses I got not only are fab in soups and stews but by. http://mountainroseherbs.com/ sprouting. How to prepare beans etc for eating like a salad and also for planting. Pulses are a versatile food to have in stock. This is how beans sprouts in your Chinese are made. It is not the only food you can do this with many do it with broccoli and others ( really should look it up)

I also have a good stock of pudding rice (I love it) slimming world stile made with half skimmed milk half water and a very good load of sweetener and a drop of vanilla in a small slow cooker.

Iv got many seeds which is one thing we do have. We have a very small yard and would love to grow more. We should have had potatoes and courgettes but the snow has left the garden wet and frosty so looks like things won't be starting any time soon even the mint has died and this is most unusual considering it grows at amazing speed and takes over we're ever it is.
